Come back soon to see where the next bronze character is spotted! If you have seen any of these people or animals in Albuquerque, leave me a comment to let me know where. I will go grab a photo for a future post.
This weekend the Albuquerque Public Libraries kicked off their summer reading program with events at several local libraries.
This year Cherry Hills had a great event with a magician, juggler, and even some Stormtroopers!
This great program is open to all ages and runs from May 30th - July 25th. You can earn prizes for reading or for having someone read to you. You can even listen to audio books while driving around Albuquerque; the library has a great selection.
This year’s theme is "Catch the Reading Bug!" and carries over to the summer film festival at the library. For the younger ones, the “Summer Reading Bug Film Festival” includes classics such as "Charlotte’s Web" and newer movies like "Bee Movie". There’s also a series of “Classic 50’s Horror Films”.
With Springtime just around the corner in Albuquerque, your thoughts may be turning to re-beautifying your yard while finding a way to save on this year’s water bill. Interested in learning how to convert your high water use landscaping to xeriscaping?
Claude Ceniceros, Xeriscape Incentive Inspector, will be on hand at the Cherry Hills Library on several Saturdays this Spring and Summer to explain xeriscaping principles, plant selection, design strategies, drip irrigation, and even How to Get a City Rebate.
So put some eXcitement in your yard in 2008!
